The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office runs the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center (jail). People arrested in Cherokee County by the Sheriff’s Office as well as people arrested in the cities of Woodstock, Canton, Holly Springs, Nelson, parts of Acworth and Ball Ground are taken to the Adult Detention Center.

Deputies lock the jail doors between 11 pm and 7 am. However since Godfrey Bonding is open 24 hours a day, we can do bail bonds at all hours of the day or night. Due to shift change and head count between 4:30 to 6 am and 4:30 to 6 pm, deputies will not process bonds between these times.
No cell phone use in the jail or within 100 feet of the entrance for security reasons.
